The Department of Neurosurgery at University of Colorado Denver, School of Medicine, is seeking a Neurosurgeon. The position will be at the Associate Professor level and focus on growing the department's neurosurgical program in Northern Colorado. Clinical interests will focus on spine neurosurgery along with general neurosurgery. We require a neurosurgeon who is a committed clinician, dedicated to building a strong program through local collaboration and regional communication. The designated neurosurgeon will be deeply imbedded within the Anschutz-based faculty practice, who will provide such practice support as is needed. He or she will foster and maintain a close connection with the Anschutz-based faculty, with participation (by remote access) in daily morning rounds, conferences, and grand rounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $225,000
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

- The faculty member will maintain part time clinical effort (.50 cFTE), providing direct clinical care to adults.
- He/she will conduct clinics at University of Colorado Hospital Anschutz Spine Center to meet the clinical demand for neurosurgical care.
- He/she will perform inpatient consultations and surgical procedures at University of Colorado Hospital Anschutz

- MD/DO
- Graduate of an accredited Neurosurgery residency
- Fellowship trained in Neuro-spine
- Maintains or is eligible for Colorado State Medical License
- Comfortable performing a wide range of neurospine and general neurosurgery procedures in adult patients. Interest in growing a community hospital-based practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other physicians and staff at all levels throughout the institution.
