Description
Hampton University - Sentara Community Engagement Project is currently seeking an experienced and qualified part-time Bus Driver for the Hampton University's Health Mobile.

Examples of Duties
- Transport project personnel (faculty, students) and equipment to local community sites to perform healthcare screenings.
- Operate and safely drive Hampton University Health Mobile unit (up to 41 feet)
- Inspect the Health Mobile: prior and post trips
- Schedule maintenance and repair of mobile unit, e.g. oil changes, fuel check, fluid checks etc. with HU Vehicle services and maintain event equipment (tables, awnings, banners).
- Maintain all DOT and vehicle logs as required by law and all University documents.
- Actively document and report any malfunctions/accidents on an as needed basis.
- Perform related work as required of the project.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills
- Two or more years of verifiable experience driving vehicle with a gross weight of 23,000 lbs. or more (such as a bus, RV, or delivery vehicle)
- Acceptable driving record
- Must have a CDL license with air brake endorsement.
