Job Summary
The instructor will teach college level students all subjects in the Airframe and Powerplant courses including electronics, avionics, mathematics and physics. The 四虎影视 will include the FAA approved curriculum which will provide students the information necessary to pass the written, oral and practical exams for Airframe and Powerplant certificates. The instructor will use the classroom and laboratory to instruct college students in the technical information and skills required to maintain and repair all types of aircraft relative to engines and airframes.
This is a pooled position. The department reviews applications as positions become available.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
You are employed as an Adjunct Faculty member/ Instructor on a contract-to-contract basis, with no future expectation or obligation for employment. Your employment may be terminated At Will at any time.
You are required to maintain professional boundaries with all SLCC students.
Minimum qualifications
1. Current FAA AMT Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
2. Experience in transport aircraft category, general aviation, commercial aviation, aircraft inspection and avionics.
3. Knowledge of FAA part 91, 121 and 135 flight regulations.
4. Knowledge of Aircraft Structures, Systems and Powerplants.
5. College level 四虎影视 experience.
6. General aviation and commercial aviation experience.
7. Ability to teach basic level maintenance skills.
8. Must pass TSA airport security background check.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Prepare and teach various classes in the Aviation Department using proper written and verbal communication skills.
- Follow industry, government, and manufacturers maintenance practices in the lab areas.
- Assess and maintain student performance records.
- Follows the course curriculum outline, prepares and delivers lectures and other classroom activities.
- Support department assessment initiatives.
- Coordinate student ADA accommodation requests following college policy and procedures.
- Answer student questions and provide necessary feedback on student progress.
- Demonstrate and support professional commitment to division, school, and college mission and values.
- Complete all required training.
- Meet College and department deadlines and evaluate student work in a timely manner including submitting final grades on time.

- Conduct a variety of appropriate evaluations of student performance.

- Assist in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment.
- Follow and abide by the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities Policy.
- Handle/respond to student concerns/complaints and respond to student communications and inquiries promptly (generally within 1-2 days).
