Description

The Hampton University, the Department of Computer Science in the School of Science is seeking a candidates for Assistant or Associate Professor appointment. The appointment is expected to be for January 2026 or for Fall 2026.

Founded in 1868, Hampton University () is located on approximately 300 acres of the Virginia Peninsula. It is a privately endowed, co-educational, nonsectarian institution of higher education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredit all programs. Hampton University, a member of the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) community of higher education institutions, is currently enjoying tremendous growth and development from a traditionally 四虎影视 to a more research-intensive institution. Hampton University is currently a Masters-level institution of higher learning with a primarily undergraduate student population of approximately 4,600 students pursuing degrees in diverse areas of study.

Duties and Responsibilities

Hampton University is seeking a candidate for an appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Computer Science and/or Artificial Intelligence. The individual selected for this position will be expected to contribute to the educational missions of the Department of Computer Science through 四虎影视, curriculum development, and research related to computer science, artificial intelligence and/or machine learning.

Qualifications

The successful applicant must have earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field with expertise in computational science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and/or cloud-based computing.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities-research, education and outreach;
  • Demonstrated ability to work on interdisciplinary teams
