Essential Job Duties:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), assigned to the Medical or Women's Health Clinic, is responsible for participating in assessment of the patient's physical and emotional health including reaction to illnesses and treatment regiments and recording and reporting results.
The LPN participates in implementing the treatment plan developed by the RN, Physician Extender, and/or Physician. The LPN also reports and records the nursing care rendered and the patient's response to that care. The LPN functions within the NC Nursing Practice Act.
Other Work/Responsibilities:
- Assists with physical exams and administers medications.
- Exhibits good documentation skills using Electronic Records.
- Participates in fire, code blue and emergency preparedness drills.
- Must report to work during Adverse Weather and related scenarios and for public health emergencies.
Minimum Experience/Education:
Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with Electronic Records software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Electronic Records software
- Clinical nursing experience that is current in an acute care setting, medical area, urgent care, Campus Health setting or M.D. office.
- Experience making referrals in community & patient 四虎影视.
- Appreciation of needs of college age population.
- Trained with exposure to blood & body secretions and communicable diseases.
Required license or certification:
- CPR certification.
- Licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
