Valencia College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Faculty Program Director, Cardiovascular Technology to provide academic and operational leadership for the Cardiovascular Technology program. This 12-month faculty leadership role combines 四虎影视 excellence with program administration, accreditation oversight, and student mentorship to ensure a high-quality educational experience that prepares graduates for successful careers in cardiovascular care.
The Program Director plays a vital role in guiding program strategy, supporting faculty and students, maintaining accreditation standards, and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and evolving workforce needs.
Cardiovascular Technology at Valencia College
Cardiovascular Technology is a fast-growing, high-impact healthcare field. Valencia College's Cardiovascular Technology Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is a two-year program designed to prepare students for immediate employment as cardiovascular technologists.
The program emphasizes Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, preparing students to become key members of cardiac catheterization lab teams who perform technical procedures used to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions.
Position Summary
The Faculty Program Director provides instructional leadership and oversees all aspects of program administration, development, and accreditation. This role supports student success across classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings while ensuring the program maintains the highest academic and industry standards.
Faculty Responsibilities
The selected faculty member will teach Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) courses and fulfill all expectations of a full-time instructional faculty member, including:
- Teaching and course preparation
- Student engagement and mentoring
- Professional development
- Institutional and community service
Full-time faculty work a minimum of 40 hours per week, which includes instructional and non-instructional responsibilities.
Program Director Responsibilities
In addition to standard faculty duties, the Program Director will oversee and manage all aspects of the Cardiovascular Technology program, including:
- Administration, organization, and supervision of the program
- Continuous quality improvement and program assessment
- Curriculum planning, development, and academic oversight
- Accreditation compliance and reporting
- Coordination and orientation of faculty, clinical preceptors, and support staff
- Oversight of clinical and academic phases of the program
- Alignment with institutional policies, workforce needs, and industry standards
The Program Director appointment is subject to annual renewal, with duties and time commitments varying based on program needs, accreditation requirements, and institutional priorities.
Instructional Workload
- Fall: 9 contact hours
- Spring: 9 contact hours
- Summer: 6 contact hours
Additional reassigned time each term supports program director responsibilities. A contact hour equals one hour of direct instruction per week.
Contract length follows the academic calendar for 12-month faculty.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in:
- Cardiovascular Technology, or
- Cardiopulmonary Sciences, or
- Health Sciences or closely related field (Must be completed by official start date - Summer 2026)
- Current cardiovascular credential in at least one of the following:
- Invasive Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS)
- Adult Cardiac Sonography (RDCS or RCS)
- Cardiac Electrophysiology (RCES) (Licensure/certification must remain active and in good standing.)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cardiovascular healthcare
- Demonstrated experience in 四虎影视, curriculum development, and/or instructional methodology
- Ability to teach in face-to-face, online, and mixed-mode formats
- Mixed-mode includes weekly face-to-face and asynchronous online instruction
- Ability to establish and maintain Florida residency within 30 days of start date
Salary Information:
The salary ranges for each degree level are outlined below. An individual's placement within these ranges is determined by two factors: the total number of years of relevant work experience and the highest degree earned.
Bachelors: $68,039 - $85,372 Per Year
Masters: $73,288 - $90,621 Per Year
Masters+30: $78,537 - $95,870 Per Year
Doctorate: $83,786, $101,119 Per Year
This position includes a $10,000 annual Valencia College Pay Additive, paid in biweekly installments in addition to base salary, plus a $5,000 relocation incentive-part of Valencia College's commitment to attracting and supporting exceptional clinical and academic talent.
