St. Joseph High School is currently seeking applications for the position of Director of Enrollment
Management. In this role, the Director is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, action-oriented enrollment
strategies and methodologies that will continue to position St. Joseph High
School as the premier Catholic co-educational college
preparatory high school in Southern Connecticut. The Director oversees all aspects of recruitment, selection, enrollment and retention. The
Director is a member of the president鈥檚 leadership team and works and plans collaboratively with senior leadership, the Board of Directors,
faculty, and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops long-term
    enrollment and retention strategies and implements them to ensure that each incoming class is comprised of qualified students with strong
    character who will positively contribute to the daily school culture.
  • Utilizes predictive analytics to provide enrollment
    forecasting and enrollment management planning.
  • Provides market insight to drive strategic decisions and monitors local,
    state-wide, national, and international enrollment trends.
  • Understands enrollment management as a research-based process;
    initiates research studies/projects, which aid in understanding the effects and outcomes of admissions and financial aid policies, and
    practices, and how St. Joe's student life, academic culture, and learning environment impact overall enrollment.
  • Actively seek and
    stay apprised of relevant admissions information, organizations, methods and trends in admissions.
  • Provide cross-divisional
    strategic planning for the oversight, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of institutional practices, opportunities, and policies
    regarding student retention and success. Source feedback and identify strengths, opportunities for improvement, and capacity for
    growth.
  • Works closely with the Director of Technology, Administration, and College & School Counseling Office to ensure timely and
    accurate collection of data related to student retention, including attrition analysis.
  • Maintains and utilizes CRM technology to
    nurture and manage client relations.
  • Conceptualizes and implements innovative strategies and methods that drive market awareness
    and demand for the school's programs and offerings, attracting a diverse class of high-quality applicants to St. Joseph High School.
  • Oversees the recruitment process for the SJ Admissions Office for local, international, and transfer student admissions; ensures
    participation of school leadership in the student recruitment process.
  • Identifies emerging and new markets for prospective
    recruiting and changing trends in student recruitment.
  • Partners with the Principal and Assistant Principal to establish admissions
    standards, admissions policies, and processes for evaluating and making final admit/deny decisions for all applicants.
  • Ensures
    systematic, efficient and confidential management of applications and related student information.
  • Provides timely enrollment
    forecasting for budgeting purposes to the President, Principal, CFO, MEM Committee and Board of Directors Executive/Finance Committee.
  • Provides ROI analysis for enrollment efforts and associated marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborates with the CFO and the
    Advancement Office to successfully implement the scholarship program and determine award distribution.
  • Partners with the CFO to
    develop tuition and financial aid policies designed to maximize new student enrollment and current student retention; monitors trends and
    provides reporting on demographics of the incoming student cohort.
  • Manages multiple events including Open House, Accepted Students
    Night, Information Sessions, Guest and Shadow Visits, Entrance Exams and New Parent and Student Orientation.
  • Ultimate
    responsibility for admissions and enrollment office staff.
  • Leads by example, expressing warmth and hospitality and ensuring the
    Mission and Catholic Identity of St. Joseph High School is visible in the enrollment and recruitment process to prospective families,
    students, faculty, staff, and school leadership.
  • In addition to the essential job responsibilities, the Director of Enrollment
    Management will perform other duties as assigned by the President.

Education and/or Work
Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar advanced degree from an
    accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in strategic admissions in the private/independent school or
    college educational settings.
  • Proven leadership success including the ability to motivate and lead positively through change and
    collaborate effectively with others to reach common goals.
  • Proven organizational management skills in complex educational
    settings.
  • Demonstration of a positive track record with admissions, recruitment, conversion and retention.
  • Proven
    analytical skills involving data and budgets.

Education and/or Work Experience
Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar degree from an accredited college or
    university.
  • Working knowledge of and/or experience with Fairfield County, Connecticut communities and schools.
  • Successful leadership and admissions experience in a Catholic High School.
