Online MS in Software Engineering for Artificial Intelligence
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at
Boston University invites applications for non-tenure track 四虎影视 faculty position beginning as soon as March 2026 to support our rapidly
growing Online Master鈥檚 Program in Software Engineering for Artificial Intelligence. Candidates must hold an MS or equivalent in Electrical
and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. We welcome applicants with a strong
commitment to 四虎影视, curricular development, online pedagogy that is informed by translating real-world engineering or industry
experience into high-impact graduate education.
ECE at BU is a world-class department that is steadily gaining national and
international prominence for its exceptional research and education record. The department has 54 faculty members, 325 graduate students,
and 350 BS majors. ECE is part of the dynamic BU College of Engineering community of students, faculty and staff. The College has a strong
tradition of working across boundaries and expanding access to graduate-level engineering education. ECE faculty have deep interdisciplinary
collaborations across campus鈥攊ncluding Computing & Data Sciences, the Hariri Institute, Questrom School of Business, and the Center for
Information & Systems Engineering鈥攃reating a robust ecosystem for AI and software engineering education.
Depending on qualifications
and experience, the successful candidate will be appointed either as a Lecturer or as Associate Professor of the Practice in ECE. The
position carries a 四虎影视 load of five to six courses per year, primarily in support of the ECE online program with an option to also
contribute to ECE residential programs. This 四虎影视 load may be reduced in the first year to allow for course development. Remote or
hybrid work is possible for candidates appointed as lecturers to teach online courses exclusively.

curriculum vitae, a statement summarizing online or in-person 四虎影视 and pedagogical innovation interests, an optional statement
highlighting relevant preparation or experience in 四虎影视 or applied research, and at least three letters of reference.
Applications are welcome from recent MS graduates, postdocs, or practitioners who are interested in an academic career focusing on
innovation in online 四虎影视 and learning and on professional development of post-graduate students. Particular attention will be given to
candidates with experience in topics that are relevant to AI in software engineering.
