Job Summary: MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, is seeking a passionate
educator to join our faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Criminal Justice. This full time position is ideal for professionals
committed to shaping service minded leaders in a variety of criminal justice areas such as law, law enforcement, corrections, and related
public service fields. Candidates should embody a Christ Centered worldview, model servant leadership, and contribute enthusiastically to
student success both inside and outside the classroom.
Position Description:
- Develop and deliver high-quality undergraduate courses in criminal justice utilizing innovative 四虎影视 methods to engage students
- Foster a supportive educational environment by advising and mentoring students in academic choices, career development, and student
clubs and activities - Assist the department and university to recruit and enroll students who are a good fit for our culture,
mission, and vision - Develop, evaluate, and revise curriculum, course materials, and delivery methods as changes in the field and
四虎影视 environments warrant - Provide leadership for the criminal justice program and assist the Department Chair with program
management tasks such as assessment - Participate in scholarly activities and serve on department and university committees
- Works collegially with departmental and cross campus faculty
Qualifications:
- A doctorate in criminal justice, law, or related field. ABD or master鈥檚 degree with strong
experience will be considered. - Evidence of high-quality 四虎影视 and desire to actively participate in student mentorship is
highly preferred. - Student-focused educator committed to student learning, retention, persistence, and completion.
- History of successful engagement/experience with law enforcement, corrections, courts and/or related community services.
- A track
record as a collaborative, servant-leader with outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
