Job Summary
Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota invites applications for a full-time renewable fixed-term Catholic theology faculty position
starting in August 2026. The incumbent will contribute to the university through ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ 22-24 undergraduate credits per academic year in a
manner faithful to scripture, tradition, and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church; student academic advising; scholarship; and service.
The course load will be primarily introductory and advanced theology courses for general education, but may also include interdisciplinary
general education courses and/or honors courses. While all specializations are welcome to apply, a solid competency in the theology of St.
Thomas Aquinas and Catholic Biblical Studies is particularly desirable. Review of applications will begin on March 1, 2026 and continue
until the position is filled.
Salary Range: $58,000 - $63,000 annually

Experience and Education Requirements
- Earned
Ph.D. or equivalent in theology or related field by start date is preferred. Applicants who are ABD status with a defense date set may be
considered. - Preference may be given to applicants with undergraduate ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ experience.

Physical Demands
- Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying
articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of
walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and
