Glenelg Country School (GCS) is an independent day school serving students age 2 – grade 12. Our mission is to cultivate a diverse

GCS seeks a
full-time School Store Manager to oversee daily operations for the Dragon Store (school store) selling items such as school uniforms, school
gear, school supplies, snacks, and other sundries. This position manages inventory and orders supplies, manages sales, and provides
excellent customer service to all students and parents.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides excellent
    customer service and resolves concerns with professionalism and respect.
  • Monitors inventory levels, ensures products are stocked,
    and orders products.
  • Conducts annual inventory period.
  • Ensures the store operates smoothly and efficiently, from open
    to close.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and visually appealing store environment.
  • Maintains positive relations with product
    suppliers and vendors.
  • Implements creative sales strategies and promotions including annual family day event.
  • Analyzes
    sales receipts and manages cash handling and credit card processing.
  • Manages uniform fittings.
  • Monitors the front
    entrance for the Upper School and allows entrance to the building.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and labor laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Needs:

  • Associates degree or
    equivalent education and experience.
  • At least three years experience in a retail setting.
  • Prefer experience in a school
    environment.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and basic office application

Skills and Abilities:

  • A commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer
    satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills communicating respectfully, effectively in working with faculty, staff, customers,
    and suppliers.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and make quick, effective decisions.
  • Proficient with Office365 and
    related Microsoft applications.
  • Manages many tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Creates
    action plans to meet divisional goals and objectives. Conducts periodic reviews of progress and measures against goals.
  • Considers
    a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems. Grasps complexities and perceives relationships among different
    problems or issues.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $55,000-$60,000. GCS
offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurances, retirement plans, tuition benefits, generous holidays and
leave plans.
