JOB SUMMARY

The Enterprise Systems Analyst serves as a
functional and technical expert supporting Cleveland State鈥檚 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment and associated third-party
applications. The role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise systems across Student Services and
Operations while working closely with IT, internal departments, and external vendors. Internally, this includes Financial Aid, Admissions,
and Registration. The analyst ensures effective implementation of new applications, supports data reporting initiatives, and streamlines
business processes for increased efficiency and compliance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS /
QUALIFICIATIONS

  • Associate鈥檚 degree from an accredited institution.
    • The degree must be in Computer
      Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in any combination of:
    • Information systems (e.g., supporting/administering applications, troubleshooting issues, working with databases,
      implementing/configuring/supporting systems, etc.)
    • Data analytics (e.g., analyzing datasets, developing reports,
      validating/organizing data, etc.)
    • SQL (Structured Query Language) report writing/data visualizations (e.g., Argos, Power BI,
      writing/creating reports, interpreting/communicating reports, etc.)
    • Complex technical concepts (e.g., ability to translate details
      for non-technical and functional users, etc.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

ERP and Enterprise Application Support (30%)

  • Provide technical and functional support for ERP
    (Enterprise Resource Planning) modules and third-party applications, including Slate, Axiom, Automic/UC4 (Universal Controller 4), ARGOS
    (Ellucian Banner), DegreeWorks, DynamicForms, Banner Document Management, TN FAST (Tennessee Financial Accounting & Support Technology), DOE
    (Department of Education) Systems, and NextGen.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, assist users with navigation and functionality, and
    address technical queries.
  • Coordinate with IT (Information Technology), vendors, TBR IT, and Cleveland State鈥檚 main campus for
    system maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ensure reliable performance and integration.
  • Communicate system updates, solutions,
    and changes to users.

Coordinate Third-Party Application Deployments (20%)

  • Lead/support implementation of third-party applications, integrating them with the ERP system and aligning with institutional goals and
    user needs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors for deployment, testing, and post-implementation support.
  • Manage timelines, schedules, system access, version control, and renewal cycles to ensure timely and successful deployment.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders and provide updates on system functionality and project progress.

Data Integrity, Reporting, and Compliance Management (20%)

  • Support institutional and
    regulatory reporting, including Census, Enrollment, Graduation, Clearinghouse, Gainful Employment, Financial Reporting, and FISAP (Fiscal
    Operations Report & Application to Participate), ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity
    across systems through reconciliations, audit queries, error correction, and compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and
    institutional standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and utilize reporting systems and tools, including ARGOS, SQL, Power BI, and Python,
    to build dashboards and generate reports for analysis and decision-making.
  • Provide accurate data for reporting to support
    compliance and decision-making.

Automation and Administration of Student Affairs Processes
(15%)

  • Design and manage automated workflows to improve Student Affairs operations, including registration, grading,
    financial aid, and graduation processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline procedures and increase
    efficiency through automation and data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, FERPA, and data governance
    standards.

End User Training and Documentation Development (5%)

  • Develop
    and maintain system and application documentation, including user guides and manuals.
  • Train end users on supported systems and
    provide hands-on assistance during training.
  • Support departments in interpreting and analyzing data.
  • Regularly review
    and update documentation to ensure accuracy.

Web Content Management (5%)

  • Maintain and update web content on the campus intranet.
  • Ensure accurate forms and information are accessible to users.
  • Provide relevant content and resources for campus stakeholders.
  • Regularly review and update processes to maintain accuracy and
    usability.

Non-Essential Functions (5%)

  • Serve on various college
    committees as appropriate.
  • Participate in professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use Ellucian Banner and related student
    services applications (Slate, Axiom, DynamicForms, DegreeWorks, Banner Document Management) to support student and administrative
    processes.
  • Provide technical and functional support to end-users and collaborate with IT teams to resolve system issues.
  • Analyze data using spreadsheets, reporting tools, and statistical methods to support operational decisions.
  • Manage multiple tasks
    and projects effectively, prioritizing work to meet deadlines in independent and team settings.
  • Communicate clearly and
    professionally while maintaining ethical standards and safeguarding confidential information.

WORK ACTIVITIES & EQUIPMENT

Work activities routinely involve the use of standard office equipment, including computers,
printers, copiers, scanners, telephones, and other related devices. Employees are expected to perform tasks such as data entry, document
preparation, email communication, and report generation using these tools.

JOB LOCATION

This on-site position is based in the Information Technology department located in the Administration Building on the main campus of
Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee. The role involves travel within the college鈥檚 five-county service area and
occasional travel to state meetings, conferences, and professional events.
