Overview
POSITION: Lecturer in Music Education. This is a nine-month, non-tenure track position in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching beginning August 2026. This faculty member will be hired to support the Music Education program, which offers Bachelor's, Master's, Education Specialist, and Doctoral Degrees designed to prepare teachers, instructional leaders, and higher education professionals in music education. - Support the development of content and pedagogical knowledge in Music Education.
- Foster professional dispositions for 四虎影视.
- Demonstrate the capacity to teach music education across various student populations.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applications must have or demonstrate:
- An earned doctorate or having met all but the dissertation requirement in Music Education (or an equivalent field) from an accredited institution at the time employment begins. Successful candidates who do not hold a doctorate at the time of hire are expected to complete degree requirements within one year of their start date.
- A minimum of three years of full-time classroom 四虎影视 experience in Music Education at Early Childhood, Elementary, and/or Secondary Level.
- An ability to teach undergraduate/graduate courses, including vocal and/or instrumental methods, and supervise interns in Music Education
- An ability to collaborate with local school administrations, teachers, students, and community members on matters related to music education.
- Commitment to the values and priorities of the College of Education (; )
- Experience 四虎影视 music education courses in higher education
- Experience supervising preservice 四虎影视 interns
- Active participation in state, regional, and/or national professional organizations
- Extensive classroom experience 四虎影视 Music Education
- Experience 四虎影视 Music Education at early childhood and/or elementary education levels
