Director of Nursing

, in partnership with the national search firm , invites applications and nominations for the position of
Director of Nursing. Glenville State University鈥檚 College of Health Sciences seeks an innovative, dynamic, and
collaborative leader for this tenure-track role, with faculty rank commensurate with experience, to establish and lead a new
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program
. Working collaboratively with the Dean of Health Sciences and the Provost of Academic
Affairs, the Director will play a central role in developing a high-quality, accredited program, supported by a newly completed
8,500-square-foot nursing education facility featuring dedicated classrooms, offices, and state-of-the-art clinical laboratories with
high-fidelity simulation technology.

Reporting to the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, the Director
will oversee the full implementation of the associate program, contribute to 四虎影视 based on their area of expertise, and help shape
future growth, including the exploration of an RN to BSN program after the ADN program has been established. This is a unique opportunity
for a leader with strengths in curriculum development, accreditation, and scholarly practice to build a program from the ground up while
advancing nursing education in the region. Individuals with experience in these areas, as well as demonstrated scholarly excellence in their
specialty, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the
    development and evaluation of nursing program policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a sufficient number
    and type of facilities to support clinical placements
  • Oversee that the associate degree nursing program receives and maintains
    approval by the West Virginia Board of Nursing
  • Oversee that the associate degree nursing program receives and maintains national
    accreditation
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum development, program assessment, and other academic
    initiatives
  • Teach nursing courses based on expertise and departmental needs
  • Participate in department meetings, serve on
    committees, and contribute to the overall growth and advancement of the college
  • Support the development and implementation of
    grants and other externally funded projects
  • Contribute to student growth and development through academic advising and
    assistance
  • Support student recruitment and retention initiatives
  • Cultivate and maintain 四虎影视 and professional
    excellence

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned DNP or PhD in Nursing Education from an accredited institution
  • Unencumbered Licensure and eligibility for licensure as a
    registered nurse in WV (must obtain licensure before hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of academic administrative experience and/or collegiate 四虎影视 experience
  • Experience with nursing program accreditation process
  • NLN CNE certification
