Major/Essential Functions
Coordinates a section in a department that has institutional oversight responsibilities. Bachelors degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal six (6) years.

Coordinates a section in a department that has institutional oversight responsibilities. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program or departmental project as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and/or students.
- Provide onsite operational support for academic classes, workshops, events, and other scheduled activities, including room setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Coordinate with faculty and academic program contacts to ensure classrooms, furniture configurations, and instructional technology are prepared and functioning for all scheduled courses.
- Collaborate with the Senior Event Planner and IT Support Technician to manage logistics, materials, and technology needs for both academic programming and special events, offering feedback on classroom and event operations to improve processes, equipment readiness, and user experience.
- Provide frontline customer service and technical support to students, faculty, event participants, vendors, and visitors, including instruction on the use of onsite technology and educational tools.
- Assist with Testing Center operations, including tester check-in and checkout, test proctoring, and managing the testing schedule.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and facility protocols, including the protection of students, employees, records, and property.
- Support the overall operations of the Texas Tech DFW site by providing backup assistance to the Senior Event Planner and Administrative Assistant.
- As needed, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues that arise during classes or events, escalating complex issues to IT when needed.
- Serve as the on-duty keyholder during evening and weekend shifts, overseeing building access, opening and closing procedures, and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated operations and facility management experience in either an academic or service environment.
- Experience in event support and execution.
- Experience in IT troubleshooting.
- Experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
