Clinical Instructor, Speech-Language Pathology
The University of Montevallo鈥檚 Department of Social Work and Speech Pathology housed within the College of Health Professions invites
applications for an Instructor of Speech Language Pathology. The position is a full-time, 9-month faculty position. There is opportunity for
advancement to Senior Instructor. Assigned 四虎影视 responsibilities include clinical supervision and clinical 四虎影视 of Speech-Language
Pathology graduate students and may include undergraduate and graduate 四虎影视. Summer 四虎影视 and supervision opportunities may be
available but are not required. This position is designed for a dynamic educator committed to excellence in undergraduate 四虎影视, student
mentorship and supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Supervision and 四虎影视 methods, practices, and strategies should be in
accordance with current evidence and best practice guidelines. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of
curriculum that prepares students for careers in speech language pathology. Experience and willingness to work with both pediatric and adult
populations preferred.
Essential Job Duties:
- Supervise graduate students, unless duties are
adjusted to accommodate other responsibilities. - Manage 1-2 diagnostic groups each semester, as assigned.
- Conduct
preschool screenings with Clinic Director (an average of 2 per semester) as assigned. - Maintain office hours weekly.
- Assist the Clinic Director with Clinic Forum (SLP 579, SLP 580) as needed.

ABILITIES:
- Ability to supervise the work of others;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- General knowledge of university operations, policies and procedures;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to
effectively communicate complex ideas orally and written.
Licenses, Certification or Registrations
Certifications, licenses, professional designations, or other qualifications required for this position include:
- Current ASHA Certification, must be maintained
- Alabama State License or be eligible to obtain Alabama State Licensure
prior to beginning employment, must be maintained - Must possess or complete required supervisor-related training for speech
language pathology
