The Department of Psychiatry (DOP) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU), the Division of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (DCAMH), and the Pediatric Mental Health Institute (PMHI) of Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) has an opening for a Clinical Director of Integrated Pediatric Care within the Integrated Section of PMHI/CHCO with an associated faculty position within the DCAMH/DOP at CU.
The CU DCAMH, PMHI, and CHCO are combining to transform children's behavioral health care in Colorado, building a coordinated system, grounded in collaboration and partnership, that provides all children with high-quality, evidence-based, youth- and family-centered care through an ambitious and comprehensive strategic plan. As part of this transformative work, we are seeking a Clinical Director of Integrated Pediatric Care (0.2 FTE) to join our efforts who has a vision towards advancing clinical care, research, and education to further the mission of the Division as a national leader in child mental health services. This leader will be dedicated to improving care for patients served by DCAMH faculty in Integrated Pediatric Medical Specialty Clinics at CHCO.
Preferred is an individual with demonstrated programmatic leadership and experience working within a high-functioning, interdisciplinary, academic pediatric integrated care program and team. In collaboration with other leaders, the Clinical Director of Integrated Pediatric Specialty Care will be responsible for overseeing development and delivery of clinical programming, monitoring quality and regulatory efforts, and optimizing clinical operations to ensure outstanding performance on the quadruple aim. The Clinical Director is also responsible for supporting the training and research missions of PMHI/CHCO and DCAMH/DOP at CU within OP, sustaining and growing the Division, managing system of care clinical practice sites, enhancing multidisciplinary quality and research programs, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with both external and internal stakeholders. The Clinical Director of Integrated Pediatric Care will serve as the designated proxy for the Integrated Section Head during extended leaves, emergencies, or other absences, ensuring seamless continuity of clinical, operational, and administrative leadership across the Integrated Section.
Ideal candidates should have proven interdisciplinary clinical leadership experience and skills, a strong clinical practice background, involvement in training, and a record of excellence in scholarship. A successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence and sustained leadership experience in working with faculty, trainees, and administration from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and academic backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Administrative Responsibilities
- Collaborate with PMHI and Division Leadership in designing and implementing evidence-based clinical programming within Integrated Pediatric Care
- Collaborate with the PMHI Integrated Section Head to set standards of practice within Integrated Pediatric Specialty Care
- Collaborate with PMHI and Divisional Leadership in programmatic/clinic operations, tactical planning, and regulatory efforts within Integrated Pediatric Care
- Lead efforts to monitor and maintain fidelity to standards of practice and clinical models used within Integrated Pediatric Care
- Conduct ongoing assessment of clinical services within Integrated Pediatric Care to ensure effectiveness of care being provided
- Lead quality improvement activities and conduct high-quality research within Integrated Pediatric Care
- Collaborate with PMHI Leadership and Division Leadership to coordinate and collaborate on initiatives, projects, and processes within and across PMHI Sections
- Provide direct clinical care to patients and families seen in Integrated Pediatric Specialty Care settings at CHCO.
- Contribute to the DOP 四虎影视 and scholarship in ways consistent with the expectations of CU faculty, advancing the standing of the Department
- Engage in service to the department, hospital, and local/regional/national organizations
- Maintain eligibility for CU faculty appointment

The Clinical Director of Integrated Pediatric Care reports to the Section Head of Integrated Services with matrix reporting to the Department of Pediatrics leadership team.

The Clinical Director of Integrated Pediatric Care will supervise faculty BHCs and psychologists primarily working in Integrated Pediatric Specialty Medical Care settings at CHCO. The Clinical Director of Integrated Pediatric Care will serve as the designated proxy for the Integrated Section Head during extended leaves, emergencies, or other absences, ensuring seamless continuity of clinical, operational, and administrative leadership across the Integrated Section.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at:
Assistant Professor: $105,000 to $120,000
Associate Professor: $130,000 to $145,000
Professor: $175,000 to $205,000
This position is eligible for an administrative leadership stipend of $6,000.
