Job Description Summary:
The Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology at The University of Kansas Medical Center provides high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care within their area of specialization. In addition, this role actively contributes to the education and training of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows, and participates in departmental and divisional academic activities.

Job Duties Outlined
  • Participate in consults, inpatient service coverage, and on-call coverage on a rotating basis with other medical oncology staff.
  • Establish and maintain an ambulatory clinic for patients with medical oncology conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with solid tumors across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated, patient-centered cancer care.
  • Participate in departmental and divisional meetings, case conferences, and other academic activities as assigned.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain expertise in medical oncology and related clinical practices.

Required Qualifications

Certifcations/Licenses:
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Medical Oncology
  • Licensed of eligible for medical licensure Kansas and Missouri.
Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience:
  • Experience in Oncology inpatient service

Comprehensive Benefits Package:
