Job Description
Ohio University, Department of Hearing, Speech & Language Sciences, seeks applications and nominations for a non-tenure track clinical faculty position at the level of Assistant Clinical Professor.
This is a full-time 9-month academic year appointment starting August 16, 2026. The FTE distribution is .30 四虎影视, .50-.60 (clinical supervision), .00-.10 scholarship and creative activity, and .10 service to the unit. Workload distribution for supervision and scholarship may vary depending on the interests and expertise of the hire.
Job duties include 四虎影视 graduate and undergraduate courses, clinical supervision of students in the M.A. SLP program, and service to the department and university. Engagement in research as part of this position is negotiable. Collaborative and successful faculty are available to mentor in in 四虎影视, clinical supervision, and research. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in treatment of speech & language disorders across the lifespan, with a strong background in pediatric SLP. Other courses at the graduate and undergraduate level will vary depending on the candidate's expertise.
We are seeking candidates with strong interests and skills in each of the following areas:
a) commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff;
b) organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to relate to faculty, staff, students and community members; and
c) active learning and use of technology in the learning process.
Candidates must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board. - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or its equivalent. Foreign equivalent degrees also acceptable.
- Candidates must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in order to apply.
- Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board.
- At least three years of direct clinical experience.
- PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders or closely field
- Experience in clinical supervision of graduate students
- Teaching experience in one or more desired areas listed above
- Continuing education in ethics and supervision
