The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering ranks among the best in the country. Our research programs are at the forefront of the technologies that have changed the world we live in. Carnegie Mellon University's department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a Research Associate that will assists in the development and execution of research projects including experiment design, analysis of data collected and writing up experiment results.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identifies problems and obstacles to progress; develops strategies to solve problems.
  • May program software in support of job functions. Attends project meetings.
  • Performs research experiments following experimental protocol and procedures. Research and documents information by compiling and maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Summarizes statistical information for analysis, examination or presentation; writes technical reports. May build and validate quantitative models.
  • Uses a variety of software packages to input, manipulate, collect and record results or observations.
  • Other duties as assigned
